Lydia - Athysia

When working on a new Dark Fantasy world, you need new art. One that really captures the essence of your world and focusses on the emotional weight of its inhabitants. Thus I present Lydia.

Lydia, Blade of Athysia, is the last sentinel of Madivine’s sacrifice, carrying the petrified skull of the Voice close to her heart even as it burns her hand, never letting go. Her wing-shaped helm keeps her eyes eternally hidden, symbolizing both devotion and her refusal to fully face a world without Madivine. The dark, weathered armor reflects centuries of battle and wandering through fractured Athysia, while ivory motifs echo the divine origins of both the Elder Gods and Lydia herself. Her ancient sword appears fossilized rather than weathered, a relic worn down by eras yet obsessively maintained through unwavering purpose.
I really wanted every part of her design to focus and show struggle, grief, devotion and the burden of truth.
